Turn a handful of kibble into a little treasure hunt for your companion. Hide dry food or small treats among this snuffle mat's fabric sections and let your dog or cat explore at their own pace. It is a simple way to add a supervised sniff-and-search activity to a familiar routine, at home or on a trip.
Benefits:
- Foraging fun: Encourages your pet to sniff and search for hidden food.
- Interactive feeding: Spreads food through a searching activity rather than offering it all in an open bowl.
- Shared playtime: Adjust the challenge by starting with easy-to-find treats and gradually hiding them more deeply.
- Portable format: Folds for packing, so you can bring a familiar activity along when traveling.
Details:
- Product type: Fabric snuffle mat for supervised food-search games.
- Intended pets: Dogs and cats that can use the mat without chewing or swallowing the fabric.
- Food compatibility: Dry kibble or appropriately sized dry pet treats.
- Operation: Non-electric; no batteries required.
- Design options: Choose your preferred design from the available variants.
- Package includes: One snuffle mat in the selected design.
Setup & Care Tips:
- Start simple: Place on a flat surface and scatter a few treats where your pet can easily find them.
- Build the challenge: Hide food more deeply only once your pet understands the activity. Avoid packing food into places they cannot reach.
- Count the portions: Include food used in the mat in your pet's daily allowance.
- Supervise every session: This is a foraging activity, not a chew toy. Remove it if your pet pulls off pieces or tries to eat the material.
- Clear out leftovers: Remove uneaten food after each session.
- Clean as directed: Follow the manufacturer's care instructions and allow the mat to dry completely before adding food or storing it.
- Inspect regularly: Stop use if seams loosen or fabric becomes torn, frayed or detached. Store out of your pet's reach between sessions.
